Sad News – Leon Glassman z’l

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Beth Israel’s long time member Leon Glassman z’l.

Our heartfelt condolences to Rose Marie Glassman, Elliot Glassman (Janna), Kevin Glassman (Orli), Heather Berkowitz (Jonathan), grandchildren Matthew, Joshua, Talia, Aviva, Julia, Charlie-Ben, Estee and Olivia.

The funeral services will be held at the Beth Israel Cemetery on Thursday November 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm. The address is 1721 Willingdon Ave, Burnaby.

Shiva Minyan will be held on Thursday (Nov. 2), Sunday (Nov. 5), Monday (Nov. 6) and Tuesday (Nov. 7) at 7:30 pm at the home of Rose Marie Glassman in Vancouver.

Donations can be made to the Leon Glassman Fund for Jewish Continuity Through Education at the Jewish Community Foundation or to Canadian Friends of Hebrew University or to a tzedaka of your choice.
