Sad News – Dr. Leon (Levi) Gordis z’l

It is with a heavy heart that I share with you the sad news that Yoni Gordis’s father Dr. Leon (Levi) Gordis, MD, PhD passed away early this morning in New York City.

Yehe Zichro Baruch, may is memory be for a blessing.

Our thoughts are with Yoni as he travels to accompany his father’s body to Israel.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday afternoon outside Beit Shemesh and shiva will take place in Jerusalem.

It is Yoni’s plan to arrive back in Vancouver on erev Rosh Hashanah.

We hope that Yoni and his wife Robbie and their daughters Rakeea and Melila feel our outreach of support.
