Travelling Destinations

Last year my daughter Sivan and I travelled to Paris. We had so much fun exploring the city together, walking IMG_6244endless blocks, speaking French and trying to pretend we are locales. We often found ourselves giggling to each other, something that one acquires from overdoses of ‘travel adrenaline’. This is the freedom one experiences when our senses surrender to the escapades of travel.

We all share many memories of family trips when the kids were small. These travelling memories resurface in reverie and in reflection. The best part of it is that we can plan more trips as our kids become more grown up.

Soon I am about to embark on a trip to Southern Spain where I will be meet up with my other young adult daughter, Shani. Together we will explore and discover how the locales live and dance flamenco, in the enchanting region of Andalucía.

Travelling with our young adult children becomes a whole new terrain. It is an opportunity to share many moments together, overcome socio-cultural barriers, and to feel gratitude and goodness abound. It is these times that measure the expansiveness of travel in the company of our matured children.

After our trip in Southern Spain, we will be heading back to life in Israel where both our twin daughters live. The girls will be destined to travel to their work places on their bikes. And with a very seasoned Hebrew they will be responding to their comrades in cars and vespas, who are honking at them to move out of the way!

Yours in travelling MOMentum,

Le’heetraot,

Debbie
