To make the transition from summer to fall a bit easier on all of us, BC Ferries recently announced that they will be offering substantial passenger discounts starting September 8th and running until October 15th (excluding the October 12th holiday).
During the promotion, there will be a 50% discount on passenger fares available Monday through Thursday and on Saturday afternoon and evening sailings. You’ll be getting a savings of $8.45 for an adult passenger riding between Tsawwassen and Vancouver Island, as cheap as the fares were back in 1997!
This promotion is being made possible by an increase in ferry vehicle and passenger traffic compared with the same period last year. Here’s hoping this September will be like the last few years with warm temperatures and sunny days for exploring around Vancouver.

- When: September 8 to October 15, 2015, Monday to Thursday, and Saturdays
- Where: Metro Vancouver; Vancouver Island; Sunshine Coast; Southern Gulf Islands; Northern Gulf Islands

Prices for passengers will go down as low as $3.30 for those travelling between Southern Gulf Islands. Closer to Vancouver, fares will decrease to only $6.05 for passengers travelling to Bowen Island – a perfect opportunity for a day trip!
